Just wanted to do a post about our upcoming iPhone App. We’ve added Badge Notifications to the App to show the number of overdue invoices you have. Badge Notifications are the little numbers placed on the icon – see the image below to see them in action for Simplybill.

With our recent update just completed a couple of days ago we were interested to see how many of the users of our old version (which is still available to them) would switch to the new one.. and it seems the majority have made the switch. Here are the numbers:
Basic plan users: 29% are now using the new version.
Enhanced plan users: 66% are now using the new version.
Premium plan users: 100% are now using the new version.
The interesting part is how users who send a lot more invoices and therefore are on the more expensive plans have been quicker to switch. We’re amazed at the 100% level for premium plan users – but we did design the update to work better for larger lists of invoices and clients, so it probably had the most impact on those users. We’ll update these numbers again in a few weeks to see if anything changes.

Previously in Simplybill, if you wanted to test out an invoice email to see what it looked like, you had to create a client with your details – and send the invoice to that client. Now, it’s super-easy to preview any invoice email. We’ve added a “Send test email to yourself” button on the invoice page. One click and you’ll receive a test email in seconds.
